Fluffy, nutty and easy to fall in love with: These pistachio cinnamon buns with Cucina roasted pistachios and super green pistachios from Farmer's Snack are the perfect soul food for cozy hours. The combination of fluffy yeast dough, a delicately melting cinnamon filling and the fine pistachio flavor makes for a real taste experience. Perfect for the coffee table, Sunday brunch or simply as a snack.

Ingredients

For the pastry:
500 g flour
60 g sugar (or alternative of your choice)
1 sachet vanilla sugar
1 sachet Here (dry)
60 g butter
280 g milk 

For the filling:
400 g pistachio cream
50 g Farmer's Snack Cucina Pistachios roasted
50g Farmer's Snack Cucina Pistachios super green

For the frosting:
100 g cream cheese
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 tbsp pistachio cream

Preparation

  1. For the dough, put the flour, sugar, vanilla sugar and yeast in a bowl. Then heat the butter and milk and add to the bowl. Knead together for 5 minutes and then cover and leave to rest for 60 minutes. Then knead again and roll out into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  2. For the filling, roughly chop the pistachios (roasted and super green). Spread the pistachio cream over the dough and sprinkle with plenty of cinnamon and sugar and chopped pistachios.
  3. Cut the dough into wide strips, roll the strips into snails and divide again with a piece of string.
  4. Place all the rolls in a baking dish, pour over the milk and place in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 160 degrees.
  5. For the frosting, simply mix all the ingredients together, spread over the slightly cooled pistachio buns, top with pistachios and pistachio butter and enjoy.
